I am writing to share the difficult news that I will be shutting down this events calendar site.

This decision comes down to two things. First, I no longer have the time required to maintain the site. Second, and more importantly, my perspective on how we help animals has evolved. After much reflection, I no longer believe that most forms of street activism are the most effective way to bring about change.

In my humble opinion, one of the biggest hurdles in our movement is that many organizations are not open to changing their tactics. Too often, we fail to collect data on our actual impact, which makes it impossible to evaluate if our efforts are truly working. I believe we must be willing to adapt where the evidence leads us.

I now feel that donating to high-impact organizations that prioritize evidence-based effectiveness is a more powerful way to help animals than traditional demonstrations.

I also didn't find anyone who would help maintain the project, which contributed to the decision to shut it down.

If you are looking for where to direct your support, I highly recommend checking out Animal Charity Evaluators (ACE). They are a nonprofit dedicated to finding and promoting the most effective ways to help animals by rigorously evaluating different charities and strategies.

I would also encourage people to give a look at wildlife animal suffering, as it is a blind spot in the activist movement right now.
