April is going to be a busy month! Let's get together to enjoy some pizza and chat about current ARCPDX campaigns, upcoming events, and more. All are welcome. Come with your ideas!
Rudy's will generously be donating 15% of sales from our group to Animal Rights Collective Portland (ARCPDX) so come hungry and bring a friend! Come for the social, the meeting, or both!
SCHEDULE
6:30pm Socialize and order food (do not have to purchase food to attend)
7:00pm Welcome to Animal Rights Collective Portland (ARCPDX)
7:03pm Introductions - Depending on the size of the group we will either go around or break up into smaller groups to very briefly introduce ourselves - (okay to excuse yourself or skip and come at 7:15pm)
7:15 Special Virtual Presentation By Louise Ward, NSW State Director of the Animal Justice Party of Australia: The Incredible World of Kangaroos and How You Can Help End K-Leather
7:40 Bala, President of Free the Oregon Zoo Elephants (FOZE), will share about their new campaign against the zoo bond that will be voted on in the May Portland elections. The elephants and other animals imprisoned at the Oregon Zoo need you!
7:45pm Updates on current campaigns and needs for upcoming events including other events that are in line with the ARCPDX mission and guidelines (see our full list of upcoming events here: https://www.facebook.com/arcportland/events)
8:20 What to get more active in ARCPDX? The Advisory Committee is looking for ongoing assistance in the following areas:
- Instagram and Facebook (posting, content, interaction)
- Event and campaign leads
- Grant writing
- Fundraising
- Monthly newsletter
