Outreach with CAA at Eden Prairie Eco Expo

Volunteer to do outreach at the Eden Prairie Eco Expo!: https://signup.com/.../invit.../secure/322346108026/false... Your help is critical to a successful event -- thank you! We’ll be tabling at the expo on Apr 20, 2024 from 10am to 4pm at the Eden Prairie Center, 8251 Flying Cloud Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. -Each volunteer shift is just a few hours long. -If you’re passionate about the climate impact of our diet, or about helping people move towards plant-based eating, this event is for you. -We’ll support you in how to do effective outreach. -All are welcome to volunteer and no experience is required. -The venue is ADA accessible. Volunteers will engage expo attendees in discussing how to make our diets more eco-friendly by moving towards plant-based eating, and invite interested people to take the Veg Pledge. At the front table, we’ll have a spin wheel game where attendees guess an answer to a question that helps them learn about the ways animal agriculture harms our planet. Here are sample spin wheel questions: -What percentage of cropland is used to grow feed for animals? -What industry is the leading driver of deforestation? -How many pounds of manure are produced to make one pound of beef? Don’t worry, we’ll make sure you have the answers! We’ll reach out to you a few days prior to the event to confirm your participation and answer any questions. At that time we’ll introduce you to the staff leading the event. You’ll get their cell phone number in case anything comes up day-of. There are both exhibitors and activities at the Eden Prairie Eco Expo. You may want to plan time to walk around the expo before or after your volunteer shift.
