Adidas Stop Killing Kangaroos - Protest & Outreach at U.S.A Headquarters

-> 2710 N Killingsworth St, Portland, OR 97217, USA
->
🦘♥️ Join fellow Animal Rights Collective Portland (ARCPDX) activists as we head to the Adidas campus to demand that they end their use of Kangaroo skin (K Leather) for soccer shoes. 🤩 Our first demo at the outlet on 4/13 was a HUGE success. The next step of this pressure campaign is making a presence at the United States Headquarters here in Portland. Given that the campus is closed on the weekend, a weekday lunchtime action is crucial. PARTICIPATION IS VITAL! 👟 Nike, Puma, and New Balance have all switched to cruelty-free materials, but Adidas is digging in its (kangaroo skin) heals. Let’s let them know, loud and clear, kangaroos are not shoes! ✊ This is a LOW STAKES/HIGH IMPACT law-abiding that will receive a lot of publicity. We will be walking through the outdoor area of the Adidas campus and will NOT be entering any buildings. We need ALL HANDS ON DECK. 🗓️ Wednesday, May 1 ⏰ 11:45am-1pm (Join us for a Vegan Social at The Native Bowl following the protest from 1:30-3pm. They will be donating 30% of ALL sales from the ENTIRE day to ARCPDX! https://www.facebook.com/events/2213930098990271). 📍 Meet at Blend Coffee (2710 N Killingsworth St. Portland), just a few blocks from the Adidas campus, at 11:45am SHARP for a quick debrief. We will walk over to the Adidas campus together for the demo and then have a post-brief a few blocks away. ✳️ ALL MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED All are welcome including newbies! There will be opportunities for everyone to get involved, whether it’s standing quietly with a sign, handing out outreach to employees, or leading chants. 🐶 Please leave your furry friends at home. 👂 If you are sensitive to loud noises ear plugs are recommended. ☔☀️ This event is RAIN OR SHINE. 🚌 PUBLIC TRANSIT & PARKING: There will be plenty of residential parking north of N. Emmerson St. Carpooling is encouraged. Plan your trip: www.trimet.org ♿️ ACCESSIBILITY: Please note that there will be 7 minutes of walking to the campus. The route is wheelchair-friendly. Those who cannot stand for long periods of time are encouraged to bring a stool or chair. ❓Reach out to Dani Rukin or Chelsea V Davis with any questions. 🤝 By attending this event you are agreeing to the Animal Rights Collective Portland Meeting/Event Community Guidelines: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Huvz3k-v_R41Qi80iF2ZXh88RetNiBh4qQBxjVgP9RI/edit?usp=sharing #KangaroosAreNotShoes #AdidasKangarooMassacre
