About this event
End Corporate Greed. Demand Transparency. Empty Cruel Cages! ๐
Protest at Hardee's, then gather for lunch at Black Leaf Vegan!
Millions of hens who are exploited for their eggs suffer in miserable wire cages. Their feet are slashed by the sharp metal wire. They live on top of their own feces. They inhale ammonia fumes that destroy their respiratory tracts. They suffer from brittle bones that easily snap, and they receive no veterinary care.
CKE Restaurants, the parent company of Hardee's, knows this cruelty is happening in their supply chains, and they rightly promised to phase out all battery cages by 2025. 2025 is fast approaching, yet they refuse to provide any evidence that they are actively working to meet this looming deadline.
An estimated 1.3 million hens hang in the balance, agonizing in cages, while Hardee's profits off of a seemingly empty promise.
Can we count you in to hold Hardee's accountable? Sign up to join us by holding a sign! All materials are provided.
This is part of a global movement to end factory farming, one cruel practice at a time. ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ท
