Join Animal Equality for an action-packed lunch event on Saturday, July 27th from 12:30pm-2:30pm at a venue in the Winter Park neighborhood of Orlando. Come hungry as we will be serving a delicious vegan lunch! You MUST RSVP to be given the address. This event is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of Animal Equality's pivotal work to help animals that, among other things, includes holding companies accountable for their lack of animal welfare commitments. Find out the different ways to get involved and support our campaigns and meet other like-minded individuals!
Farmed animals suffer some of the worst abuses imaginable while trapped in our food system. An absence of meaningful animal welfare laws and a lack of corporate policies to ban the worst forms of cruelty further compound these issues and keep these animals in an endless cycle of suffering. Animal Equality is an animal protection organization working to change all of this and we need YOUR help!
We’ll kick things off with a casual networking session for the first 15 minutes where we can all get to know each other and talk about why we are motivated to help animals. While we eat a delicious plant-based lunch, an Animal Equality’s Campaign Coordinator will talk about the organization’s history, mission, and impact.
The final hour is dedicated to taking actions! From 1:30pm-2:30pm we will talk about our current campaigns and how you can help. We’ll go over easy, targeted online actions that we can all do in our free time to support our campaigns to ban cages and demand accountability from companies supporting these cruel practices. We’ll have a variety of actions lined up like comment storms, phone calls, and emails. All you need is your phone (or a laptop). All other materials will be provided.
We encourage you to bring a friend–this is a safe space for anyone that is against animal cruelty and abuse. Together, our efforts collectively challenge corporate greed, reduce animal suffering NOW, and work to dismantle factory farming. Join us and be part of the movement towards a kinder, more compassionate world for animals.
