About this event
Chickens suffer some of the most horrific forms of abuse in our broken food system. In response to growing public concern, companies all over the world have pledged to eliminate one of the most extreme causes of suffering on factory farms - the use of cruel cages for egg-laying hens. Some continue to profit off of these commitments without producing any evidence to back them up. This is unacceptable! We are demanding proof that they are doing what they said they would - freeing hens from cages. After all, isn't going cage-free the least they can do?
Join local advocates on August 10th at 1pm EDT at People's Market for an activist lunch and campaign action hour. We will enjoy lunch together while taking quick and effective digital and postcard actions to push corporate decision makers to follow through on their promises. By holding these companies accountable to fulfilling their animal welfare policies, we can meaningfully reduce suffering now, challenge the status quo, and disrupt animal agriculture by costing the egg industry billions of dollars.๐ฐ Let's show the industry they aren't untouchable. Let's lay the foundation for continued change for farmed animals. Let's join together to end factory farming, by abolishing one cruel practice at a time!
All materials are provided, and no experience is required. All you need is a desire to speak up against animal abuse! If you have a computer you can bring, that will make it easier to take digital actions in our Fast Action Network platform. For those who don't have access to a device or prefer to stay offline, we will provide postcard actions as well!
