Are you interested in creating massive change for animals and helping save countless lives? Please join VSDC and vegan meetup friends on Saturday, September 7th, for a presentation on how to create partnerships that make it advantageous for businesses to promote plant-based eating (schools, colleges, restaurants, chains, etc.). The presenters are: - Max Broad, President of DC Veg Week - Aashish Bhimani, committed activist Examples of successes include a partnership with a PTA that resulted in over 400,000 students having access to plant-based meals and working with the third largest food distributor in the country. The presentation will provide real-world examples and training on how to make a difference for animals and the environment, and will connect you with key people as well. The event will take place at the beautiful and vegan-friendly Equinox Restaurant, newly located in their 19th St location. Equinox features locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and the event includes a delicious spread of vegan eats from celebrated chef Todd Gray, all for this great price including tax and gratuity. Taking Metro is recommended; the Farragut West station is a block away and Farragut North and Foggy Bottom stations are a few blocks away.
