The Official Abolish The Fur Trade Winter Season Kickoff Rally, NYC ‘24
Winter in New York City is around the corner. Come November, animal fur will be bought, sold and worn in NYC, t’s also pelting season and 8 month old fur bearing animals on factory fur farms will be violently killed for their very first winter coat.
There has been remarkable progress in regards to eliminating fur from the fashion world. 2024 saw luxury designers Marc Jacobs, Max Mara and Anne Fontaine announce their commitment to remove fur from their fashion collections. Activists around the world have fought hard for these victories, but we're not done yet.
Millions of fur-bearing animals are still in serious danger of being mercilessly skinned for the remaining holdouts. We have one goal this season - convince our next contenders to enact fur-free policies.
We strongly encourage activists to plan ahead and commit 100% this season. We cannot allow designers to rest easy or reap one more dollar from the backs of innocent animals, and it's going to require all of us to take them down. The more cities join us in solidarity on 10/19/24, whether internationally or state wide - to hold their own “ABOLISH THE FUR TRADE RALLY”, the closer we get to our goal.
