Meetup to End Animal Abuse at Giant Food

-> 1630 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20001, USA
->
Battery cages are one of the cruelest inventions ever inflicted upon animals. Ending the battery cage means ending the acute suffering of millions of animals. Giant Food and their parent company, Ahold Delhaize, made a promise they would stop using battery cages by the end of 2025, yet they have left us with a broken promise. If our movement doesn’t hold Giant to their word, everything could crumble—not just for us, but for our coalition, for the movement as a whole, and for the hens at the center of this fight. Join us at The Shaw Neighborhood Library in Conference Room 2, Saturday, March 8th at 2 p.m. for an action meetup where we will socialize, talk about animal rights and contact decision makers at companies, urging them to stop this abuse. We encourage you to bring your laptop or mobile device so you can send emails to decision makers and complete other digital actions. However this is not required! We will have letter and postcard writing supplies for those of you who would prefer to stay off your devices. Let's hold companies accountable and end animal suffering!
